Dance workshop exploring styles like Soca, Afrofusion, Traditional West African dance from Ghana &/or Guinea

An introduction to the style - historical & cultural context lecture

Series of movement within chosen style, either with choreography or an exploration of the fundamentals

An opportunity to reconnect with your body & feel a sense of community with the other attendees

A cool down followed with Q&A

Percussion Workshops

A minimum of 60mins workshop learning rhythmic patterns

Drummology lessons with the possibility to also learn about 4 additional West African instruments

An introduction to the style - historical & cultural context lecture

Attendees will learn traditional songs that accompany the rhythm learned, plus time for Q&A
